Log in to your Facebook account and click \u201cFundraisers\u201d in the left menu of your news feed. The option to create a fundraiser also appears when you click on the downward arrow on the far right of the top toolbar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. CLICK \u201cRAISE MONEY.\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

3. CLICK \u201cGET STARTED,\u201d THEN SELECT \u201cNONPROFIT\u201d AND SEARCH OR SELECT \u201cTHE GLOBAL GOOD FUND.\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

4. SET UP YOUR FUNDRAISER\u2019S PAGE.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m trying to raise $500 by #GivingTuesday. Global Good Fund\u2019s Fellowship is critical for social entrepreneurs, if we want to change the world for good. Every dollar raised will enable GGF to support more changemakers solving our world\u2019s most pressing social issues; from health to education, climate action to financial inclusion, your contribution will ensure another impact focused entrepreneur has the leadership skills, network and capital needed to change the world for good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. CHOOSE A COVER IMAGE FOR YOUR FUNDRAISER.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On the cover image selection page you will see photo options from The Global Good Fund’s Facebook album. To upload our cover photo, click “EDIT”<\/strong>in the right corner of the default cover photo, then select \u201cUPLOAD NEW PHOTO,\u201d<\/strong> and choose our #DonateSmall image from your files. Once you\u2019ve uploaded our provided cover image, click \u201cCREATE\u201d<\/strong> to make your fundraiser\u2019s page available for everyone to see!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. SPREAD THE WORD!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Inviting all of your friends to participate in your Fundraiser will maximize your results! You can take an extra step by emailing your contacts to notify them about your Facebook fundraiser, sharing the link to your fundraiser\u2019s page, and asking them to contribute in your honor. You can also reach out to friends over Facebook message. These steps will help increase your fundraiser\u2019s visibility \u2013 and attract more donors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. NOTES ABOUT PRIVACY & SECURITY<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

–  Fundraisers can only be created by Facebook users who are 18 years of age or older.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–  When you donate to a fundraiser, the charitable organization to which you are donating and the creator of the fundraiser will be able to see your donation. However, the amount you donate will never be shared on Facebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–  Donations made through Facebook to The Global Good Fund national are tax deductible, though tax laws vary by state and by country<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–  The way Facebook designed the fundraiser function, only individuals can currently create a fundraiser and those gifts are for The Global Good Fund. However, engaging with your branch members on social media and using Facebook to promote other fundraising strategies is always a good idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–  After you make a donation, a confirmation email from Facebook will be sent to the primary email address listed for your Facebook account. This confirmation shows that you\u2019ve made this donation as a charitable contribution and that you are not receiving any goods or services in return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–  Donations to U.S.-based charitable organizations made through Facebook are assessed a 5 percent fee. Two percent covers costs of nonprofit vetting, fraud prevention, operational costs, and payment support.
